We have put together this sample 10 day itinerary for a great tour around Cornwall. But you can easily base yourself in one of the many picturesque towns and head out to these wonderful places. And when it comes to you accommodation we based this tour on beautiful guesthouses and 3 star hotels.

DAY 1: Boscastle / Tintagel

So, let us start our tour in Boscastle. Boscastle and neighbouring Tintagel are both small picturesque villages with spectacular sea views over the Atlantic. Visit Tintagel Castle and immerse yourself in history. Set high on Cornwall’s rugged north coast it is heavily linked with the legend of King Arthur! Here, in this stunning place myth meets history.

DAY 2: Bodmin Moor to Padstow

Only a few miles away is the Bodmin Moore. A place of stunning natural beauty and great for a walk. Highly populated in the Bronze age this bleak moorland is home of the endangered moorland ponies and scattered with peculiar stone structures dating back 1200 BC. Visit the quaint village of Blisland and then head for the buzzing harbour town of Padstow. A working fishing harbour surrounded by wonderful beaches. Spend the evening exploring Padstow with its cobbled alleys and century old pubs.

DAY 3: Padstow to Newquay

Take a bike ride in the morning along the Camel Trail, a countryside bike trail which is arguably one of the most beautiful ones in the UK. Stop over at the Camel Valley vineyard and taste some of their award-winning wines. Afterwards head off the Newquay. Cornwall’s party hot spot and surfer’s paradise. It is fun and games on Fistral Beach one of the main beaches of Newquay. Set against the backdrop of sand dunes and towering cliffs it is the perfect place to spend a few days. Book a surf course, take a dive into the fresh Atlantic or just relax by the beach for a few days.

DAY 5: Newquay to St Ives

Refreshed and recharged it is time to visit one of Cornwall’s most famous towns. St.Ives a must see on your tailor made Cornwall itinerary. The jewel fishing village in Cornwall’s crown. A top family destination with beautiful beaches and an abundance of activities and top-class hotels. Especially in the summer it does get busy, so alternatively you could relax in neighbouring Godrevy with its lighthouse, island and fantastic beaches.

DAY 7: St.Ives to St Michael’s Mount

Now it is time to see one of the top highlights of Cornwall. Leaving St.Ives behind it is time for the glorious Minack theatre. Set next the wonderful Porthcurno beach, the theatre is carved into the cliffs overlooking the sea. Next up is the spectacular St Michael’s mount. Explore, in low tide (!), the castle set on a small island by foot and visit the medieval church. It is a truly amazing place with beautiful sunset views.

DAY 8: St. Michael’s Mount to Falmouth

By this time you have seen a lot of natural beauty on your tailor made Cornwall itinerary but the Kynance Cove raise the wow factor. It is hard to put the beauty of this spot in words. It is an absolute MUST SEE. Afterwards, with a smile on your face visit the medieval fishing village of Cadgwith. And end the day in Falmouth.

DAY 9-10: Falmouth to Fowey

A famous fishing port and university town Falmouth is also the starting point for a highly recommend boat trip to St.Mawes. Home of the rich famous with their villas lined up on the seafront this boat trip is a nice way of exploring the Cornish coast. Afterwards it is time to head to the Lost Gardens of Heligan. One of the most popular 19th century gardens of the UK. Wander the beautiful paths and lose yourself. Perfect to rejuvenate your senses. Then it is time to head for the picturesque fishing village of Fowey.

Overnight in Fowey (2 nights)

Spend your last nights in the gorgeous, little town of Fowey. Relax in its many pubs and reflect on the beauties you have seen so far. Perfect coastal views and amazing sunsets guaranteed.
